I am a civil engineer specializing in construction project management, I obtained my degree approximately 5 years ago, but during this time it was difficult to find work in the engineering. At this moment I work as a tester for a Software company where I had to learn and adapt. Additionally, I have a growing company on the import and marketing of electronic products, all sales are made through Marketplace and e-commerce.

What was the result of the experience?

I had no knowledge in the job I am currently in because I have another education, I joined the company in order to continue having a job while I found one as a civil engineer, but over time I was given more responsibilities until I was promoted to Tester. It has been quite useful as I can continue to grow in the company.

How did your flexibility and adaptability help you to deal with the situation?

I consider myself a person who adapts easily and I propose to learn something new in order to comply and face the situation; I feel that I have been able to face the different situations in the best way that have been presented to me and that is why I was able to grow in the company that i’m currently in, additionally to being able to create a company where I have had to learn about sales in e-commerce, Marketplace and about imports.

Would you change anything in order to deal in a better way with it?

Over time I have had constant learning and at this moment I think that I would not change what has happened, since my focus was somewhere else and for different reasons I am working in areas that are not of my knowledge, I have had to learn of it and that is why I am doing this technologist to continue growing and be able to advance further since I would like to be a Product Owner; Additionally, I have had to adapt and be more flexible about importing and marketing to be able to sell different products.
